In this page, I hope to assess a few primary considerations that you ought to have in your mind when it comes to a pressure – washer. A pressure – washer can help clean both your home and any items of value, but if you get the wrong one, of course, it can be a whole nother stinking mess of its own. So let’s have a talk ….
You basically need a pressure – washer when spraying ( with a basic hose ) or even scrubbing ( with your hands and a good rag ) are simply not enough to clean off the sticky debris, gunk that’s stuck or other material that will simply not leave your walls, cars ( yes, they do make these for some cars, he he he heh heh ) or other properties or items of value. That is when you will need a direct – force sort of application, and something of more force and power altogether. Something that will wash with a certain amount of pressure or force applied to your intended target ( hence, the name, pressure – washer ) ….
When you have tried everything on your own, and you simply can’t wash down ( or wash off ) , certain materials, off your concrete side – walks, your home’s walls or windows, your car, your fence, etc … then you, my friend, DO need a pressure – washer. But what kind do you need? Now, that is the next question to look at …
First of all, I would like to clearly express the very fact that there are some things you may want to consider, like the following :
- HP ( aka horse – power ) - how much power’s produced from the motor / engine? This’ll tell ya how much volume + pressure that washer’s pump will produce.
- PSI ( aka pounds per square inch ) - this is how the washer basically measures the overall pressure it generates, thereby contributing to your total amount of cleaning force.
- GSM ( aka gallons per minute ) - this has to do with the water volume that your device will put forth … volume also contributing to overall force, here, in this case.
- CPU ( aka cleaning power units ) - we can’t forget this one, of course … so super important. Now, then, this has to do with quantifying the overall cleaning ability of your pressure – washer, at the end of the day … by multiplying your PSI by your GPM for the grand total. The higher the CPU, in sum, the more deeply and effectively your machine can clean.
You might also need a specialized pump, if what you’re trying to pressure – wash is extremely difficult to remove. Thankfully, countless sellers sell different types of compatible nozzles and nozzle tips that you can buy for your pressure – washer, too. You just have to browse!
